ISPE Delaware Valley Chapter (DVC) Scholarship
About
The ISPE Delaware Valley Chapter (DVC) Scholarship aims to support college students who demonstrate financial need and are committed to pursuing a career in the life sciences industry. We are looking for candidates who exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for contributing to advancements in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Applicants must reside or attend an accredited university in the areas served by DVC (Click here for the Scholarship Coverage Area)
Eligibility
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to qualify for a scholarship award:
- Enrolled in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related Data Science bachelor, master, or doctorate degree programs at regionally accredited institutions of higher learning by accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
- Completed a minimum of 30 credit hours or the equivalent of one full academic year of college education for undergraduate applicants.
- Achieved a GPA of 3.0 or better in the preceding two semesters and evidenced with supporting official transcripts.
- Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical Industry.
- Fully Complete the Application Form
- Participate in the qualification interview(s) process
- Applicants must reside or attend an accredited university in the areas served by DVC (Click here for the list)
- Letter of recommendation from a faculty adviser/university representative, along with a letter verifying your status and anticipated graduation date.
Nature of Grant
Awardees will receive financial support in the form of academic educational scholarships paid directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient. The Ideal Candidate should demonstrate the following attributes:
- Academic Excellence: Maintains a strong GPA and has received academic honors or awards.
- Financial Need: Demonstrates a clear financial need that the scholarship can help alleviate.
- Leadership and Involvement: Shows leadership qualities through involvement in relevant extracurricular activities, internships, or work experiences.
- Passion for Life Sciences: Has a genuine interest in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry and a desire to contribute to its future.
- Innovative Thinking: Provides thoughtful insights into current industry challenges and future trends, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
