About

Knowing that at the start of one’s career, individuals may have many questions about possible career paths and options, as well as the practical application of technical knowledge, ISPE Foundation is extending the opportunity to invite a group of students and recent graduates to 1) attend the 2024 ISPE Annual Meeting and Expo from 13-16 October in Orlando, Florida, 2) receive a 2-year ISPE Membership (if needed), 3) travel reimbursement to cover only airfare/train and hotel.

The grant also includes a Pre-Conference Orientation Session.

Issuance of the conference grants is consistent with the ISPE Foundation’s mission to fuel global health equity by fostering access to knowledge and nurturing diverse talent.

Eligibility

Must be 18 years or older.
Current student or graduate within 1 - 5 years of graduation.
Participants awarded a travel grant in the previous calendar year are ineligible. (Example: If a student was awarded a Professional Development Grant for the 2023 ISPE European Annual Conference, they would not be eligible to receive a grant the next year)
As part of your application, you must fill out and include the ‘ISPE Grant Release and Waiver’ with your submission.
As part of your application, you must submit a CV/Resume.

Nature of Grant

The recipient of the Professional Development Grant to the 2024 ISPE Annual Meeting and Expo in Orlando, Florida will receive the following:

In-person All Access Conference Registration
Two-year ISPE Student Membership (if needed)
Travel reimbursement to cover only airfare/train and hotel.

General Information

Grant disbursement decisions are made consistent with the ISPE Foundation Disbursement Policy and are based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:>

Alignment with established ISPE Foundation mission and objectives
Grant is for a conference experience only and only available to students or recent graduates
Availability of funds
Timely receipt of a completed Grant Request Form

Grant Acknowledgement

It is important for all applicants to realize that the grants received from ISPE are given with the understanding that such funds are to be used only for the purposes stated in their grant application.

In the event that circumstances preclude the recipient from using the grant money to carry out its intended purpose, recipients are required to notify ISPE at nominations@ispe.org. If ISPE decides that such alternate use is not within its mission, the recipient will be required to return the money to ISPE.

As a condition of receipt of the ISPE Professional Development Grant, recipients are required to submit a report detailing how the grant was utilized within sixty (60) days of the conclusion of the event. This report should summarize your attendance and the benefits you received as a result of your attendance.

Applicants will be ineligible for future grants if the grant utilization report is not received within this time frame.

As a condition of receipt of the ISPE Professional Development Grant, recipients are required to submit an ISPE Grant Release & Waiver and fill out a W-9 (United States recipients) or a W-8BEN if you reside outside the United States.
